Test Areas for Paper-Based Testing

When registering for the CSET, refer to the following tables to select a test area and test date. Your specific test center will be determined based on availability and appropriateness of facilities for test administration. Test centers will be within the area listed but not necessarily within the actual city limits.

Due to factors beyond the control of the CTC and Evaluation Systems, the test center locations described in this section cannot be guaranteed. Test centers are subject to change in the event of scheduling conflicts. If it becomes necessary to change a test center, every attempt will be made to ensure that the new test center is located in the same general area as the one you originally requested.

Not all tests are available on all test dates or at all test areas. Refer to the following tables to determine which test areas and test dates are available for the tests you wish to take.

Emergency Registration Test Areas

Emergency registration is limited to the space available at the following test areas across California. Please note that the test areas available for emergency registration are subject to change based on available space. Some areas may become full and, therefore, may be unavailable during emergency registration. Not all tests are available during the emergency registration period; see "Test Selection" for information about test availability.

Out-of-State Test Areas

Out-of-state testing is available for the May test date in the following five test areas. Out-of-state test areas are offered subject to the requirement that there is a minimum number of examinees per area. Examinees will be notified if a test area selected during registration is not available due to insufficient registration. Because of space limitations at some of the out-of-state test areas, examinees are urged to register early.

During the late registration period, examinees may be able to register for an out-of-state test area, subject to space availability. Registration for out-of-state test areas is not available during the emergency registration period.
