CSET: Mathematics Instruction Authorization Examination (MIAE)

The state of California recently introduced a new authorization called Mathematics Instructional Added Authorization (MIAA) as a prerequisite for acceptance into educator preparation programs. The new Mathematics Instruction Authorization Examination (MIAE), which tests for mid-level mathematics knowledge, has two test options. The MIAE Pre-Algebra assesses content knowledge for a K–7 authorization. The MIAE Algebra I assesses content knowledge for a K–Algebra I authorization.
